Beijing, you might have an ultra modern facade, but signs like the one above are seriously retro. And not in a cool, vintage t-shirt kind of way, but in a Klan robe way. You've tried your darnedest to cover up your unsightly blemishes (below). Can't you just put a Nike store or a One World, One Dream wall in front of signs like these?

Beijing beautifies its honest neighborhoods by surrounding them with Stores and Olympic walls as discussed previously in this NYT article and this post.
