I attended my first Olympic event as a spectator, not an athlete, today. I watched men's beach volleyball play in a light drizzle this morning at Chaoyang Park. First, I cheered Latvia to a loss against Argentina. In the next match, the underdog Angolans, despite a hard fought battle, fell to the Aussies who'll face Zack Barnes and Monroe Clark from Side Out in the gold medal match.
